The app I chose to discuss is SketchBook this is a drawing app that can also do animation. it is quite similar to procreate as well as Photoshop since it has similar key features. what makes this app so unique it's free easy for beginners and not as overwhelming as procreating or photoshop. it has a select few pencils and paintbrushes as well as layers to create an animation. I am not an animation artist whenever I try to use any of the other formats I got frustrated with so many options. Sketchbook doesn't have this issue it's simply easy. It is great for new time animation beginners that don't want to buy or purchase a program but still want to explore the medium. some of the unique features that Sketchbook has is that perspective guides help with prospective like 1 point perspective 2 point perspective as well as three points perspective. Another unique feature is that it has symmetry That helps you create perfect center lines to create a flower or asymmetrical object Make a list of the pros and cons of this program. pros
great brush engine,
clean workspace,
drawing-assisting tools,
it's a perfect choice for both beginners
Cons
had to go to Google to learn how to undo
Slow if computer or device has no space
Overall I enjoyed using the program. I am not an animation artist I don't have the patience and my perfectionism always gets the best of me. By simplifying the tools and having it more straightforward I was able to create something that I liked. I think this will be very helpful for future art students that will be getting into animation so they have a beginner-level understanding and then upgrade to a procreate or Adobe Photoshop.
